Dr Robert Lewis

Robert Kennedy Lewis is a St Lucian politician affiliated with the Saint Lucia Labour Party. He was elected to the House of Assembly of Saint Lucia following the election of 11 December 2006 as the member of parliament for Castries South. Previous to his election Lewis was supervisor and examiner of National Examinations in Mathematics from 1992 to 2006. In January 2005 he received a Ph.D in mathematics from the University of Otago.

His Excellency Dr. Robert Kennedy Lewis was appointed as Ambassador of Saint Lucia to the Republic of China (Taiwan) in March 2022 and presented his letters of credence to President Dr. Tsai Ing-Wen of the Republic of China (Taiwan) on May 5, 2022. This presentation followed that with Taiwan's Minister for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr Joseph Wu on April 20, 2022.

Dr. Lewis, an educator by profession who previously served as Saint Lucia's Minister for Education, is Saint Lucia's third Ambassador to Taiwan.

Dr Russell D’Souza

Professor Dr Russell Franco D’Souza is currently the dean and professor of organisational psychological medicine at the International Institute of Organisational Psychological Medicine, which is based in Melbourne, Australia; Doncaster, UK; and Melbourne, Florida, USA. He is the Co-Chair of the Global Network for Medical, Health Professions, and Bioethics Education, Based in Melbourne, Australia. He is the Chair and Head of the Department of Education of the International Chair in Bioethics and WMA Cooperating Centre, University of Porto.

Professor Russell DSouza is the Chair and Head of the Asia Pacific Division of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics at the University of Haifa, a position he assumed in 2011. In March 2017, he was appointed Director of the Department of Education for the International Program of the UNESCO Chair in International Bioethics at the University of Haifa. He was the former Director of Clinical Trials and the Bipolar Program at the Northern Psychiatry Research Centre, Melbourne University, and Northern Hospital, Melbourne, until 2015, when he relinquished his position after a decade to facilitate working with the International Institute of Organisational Psychological Medicine and the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics.

Dr Russell D’Souza is mandated, as the Director of Education of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics, to initiate evidence-based teaching and reform teaching methodologies in bioethics education and medical and health professions education.

Professor Russell DSouza qualified for his MBBS and MD in Pulmonary Medicine from Madras Medical College and the University of Madras. He migrated to Australia in 1981 and completed postgraduate qualifications in Psychiatry, Health Service Management, Medical Education, Disability Management, Clinical Research Management, Bioethics, and Medical Administration from Melbourne University, Monash University, Canberra University, the Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators, The American Board of Disability Analysists, American Psychiatry Association and the Australasian College of Health Service Management. In 2016, he was awarded the Doctor of Science Honari Causa.

Professor Russell D’Souza has received numerous international awards and holds academic appointments at universities in India, Asia, and Latin America. He is the editor-in-chief of Global Bioethics Enquiry and the Indexed International Journal of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics. He is the founding managing editor of the Asian Journal of Psychiatry. He has over 100 publications in peerreviewed journals. He is the author of the spiritually augmented cognitive behaviour therapy textbook and has authored chapters in several books.

Dr Shabbir Amanullah

Dr. Shabbir Amanullah Completed his DPM from the Central Institute of Psychiatry in Ranchi MD Psychiatry from National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences in Bangalore (He was awarded the gold medal in the final exams). He then went to UK where he completed his MRCPsych and specialized in adult and geriatric psychiatry (He won the Cyril Potter Gold medal of the Birmingham Medical Institute). On moving to Canada, he worked in Prince Edward Island for 6 years and was Chief of Psychiatry for the Province before leaving in 2012 for Ontario. In PEI he won awards for clinical excellence and promoting physician health. He ran multiple clinics and did research and published and presented internationally, nationally and locally. He was one of the earliest to use synthetic cannabinoids (and published on this) in dementia on a regular basis He was @ Woodstock General Hospital as the Chief of Psychiatry and cut down the wait times to see psychiatry to from 1 year to 3 weeks. At the Woodstock hospital he developed the COGWALL for patients with cognitive impairment.

Dr Amanullah was Chair and clinical director of geriatric psychiatry at Queens university and providence care hospital, Kingston. He currently works as a consultant Psychiatrist @ Woodstock hospital Ontario He is the immediate past President of the Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry, President Oxford County Medical Society as well as serves as Chairman and Scientific Chair of the Indo Canadian Psychiatric Society

He is the Chair of the Ontario Psychiatric Association He has won many awards including – The distinguished fellow of the Canadian Psychiatric Association and is on the board of the Canadian Psychiatric association He was awarded the ‘Outstanding contributions to Geriatric Psychiatry award by the Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry

Dr. Amanullah has published content in a number of peer-reviewed journals, including nature and has written chapters and published a book -Complex clinical conundrums in psychiatry. He teaches extensively and has helped students from many parts of the world with their research projects and mentored many more. His research interests include physician burnout, ADHD and autism in the elderly, PTSD in dementia and Cannabinoids in Dementia. Dr Amanullah has reviewed psychiatric departments in other hospital and did a project reviewing physician wellness and engagement for BC (Vancouver health) He has presented his research at major meetings and conferences around the world and encouraged many students to get into research and both present and publish.

Dr Surapaneni Krishna Mohan

Dr. Surapaneni Krishna Mohan is a distinguished medical educator, philanthropist and renowned researcher in the fields of Medical Biochemistry, Medical Education, Bioethics and Population Health Informatics. He currently serves as the Vice Principal & Professor of Biochemistry and Heads the Department of Medical Education, Bioethics, Population Health Informatics and Clinical Skills & Simulation at Panimalar Medical College Hospital & Research Institute, Chennai, India. He is also serving as Faculty at EICLID University, an International and treaty based Institution under United National Treaty Series 49006 / 49007.

He has been recognized globally as one of Stanford University-Elsevier's World's Top 2% Scientists annually since 2021 six times in a row, reflecting the significant impact of his scholarly contributions across biomedical sciences, educational research, and bioethics. Dr SKM earned his PhD in Medical Biochemistry and PhD in Population Health Informatics.

His expertise in Medical Education is evidenced by the award of prestigious Joint Masters in Health Professions Education (JMHPE), from Maastricht University, The Netherlands, and Suez Canal University, Egypt and Masters in Health Professions Education (MHPE) from Keele University, UK. He earned four Fellowships from Harvard Macy Institute (HMI), USA in Art Museum-based Health Professions Education, Program for Educators in Health Professions, Technology and AI: Transforming Health Professions Education and Assessment and Evaluation: Systems Thinking in Health Professions Education. Dr SKM earned certificate in “Media and Medicine: How to Tell Stories that Make a Difference” from prestigious Harvard Medical School (HMS), USA. He also earned AMEE Specialist Certificate in Medical Education from the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE). He was awarded the prestigious CMCL- FAIMER Fellowship (Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research, USA) in 2009. Dr SKM earned Certificate in Medical & Health Science Education from Li Ka shing Faculty of Medicine, The Hong Kong University and Post Graduate Diploma in Health Professions Education from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, KLE University.

As an internationally acclaimed scholar, Dr. SKM also earned numerous prestigious fellowships including the Association for Medical Education in Europe (FAMEE), International Association of Medical Science Educators (FIAMSE), USA; the Academy of Medical Educators (FAcadMEd), UK; the International Association of Medical Science Educators (FIAMSE), USA; the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), UK; the International Society for Quality in Health Care (FISQua), UK; the Linnean Society (FLS), London; the Royal Society of Public Health (FRSPH), UK; , the International Medical Sciences Academy (FIMSA), the Academy of General Education (FAGE), and the International Institute of Organisational Psychological Medicine (FIIOPM), Melbourne, Australia and Florida, USA; and is a Chartered Scientist (CSci) and Certified Clinical Chemist (NRCC-CC), USA. He serves as an Associate editor on MedEdPORTAL, the journal of teaching and learning resources by AAMC, Academic Editor on PLOS ONE and Associate Editor on Frontiers.

Dr. SKM's research interests bridge Medical Biochemistry (oxidative stress, molecular biomarkers, metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, cancer biology) with Health Professions Education (competency based curricula, Game Based Learning, gamification, art-based learning, and integrated clinical case methodologies), Bioethics (portfolio-based assessment, Entrustable Professional Ethical Actions, and the world's first dual degree in Humanistic and Socialistic Medicine), and Population Health Informatics (AI governance, digital health, and clinical decision support systems). His teaching philosophy transforms learners into reflective problem-solvers through immersive strategies like cinemeducation, graphic medicine, technology-enhanced learning, and authentic clinical challenges, fostering curiosity, compassion, and lifelong learning. With over 23 years of experience, Dr. SKM is renowned for his contributions to advance the fields of biochemistry and health professions education (HPE), with over 392 peer-reviewed publications, 14 patents, and h-index of 38, Dr. SKM continues to shape the future of healthcare education and practice through his visionary leadership and enduring mentorship.

Dr. SKM has authored multiple textbooks in Biochemistry and Nutrition for medical and nursing students viz. "Essentials of Practical Biochemistry" published by the Wolter Kluwers Lippincott, "Early Clinical Exposure in Biochemistry" by the Elsevier, "Learning Landscapes - Mind Maps in Biochemistry" published by Elsevier and also “Applied Nutrition, Dietetics And Applied Biochemistry for Nurses” published by Elsevier. He has also authored six individual chapters in Lippincott’s Illustrated Reviews (LIR) in Biochemistry. His authorship also extends to Elsevier’s Clinical Key series in Biochemistry and AETCOM.
